This summer, it is time to put your sleuthing skills to the test with TinyBuild and Dynamic Pixels' horror-stealth title "Hello Neighbor," which is set for a release on Sony's PlayStation 4 platform sometime this season.

According to the Playstation Blog announcement, the highly anticipated title, which first debuted on the Xbox One and more recently on the PC platform, is now confirmed for a release on Sony's current console summer of this year. This was after undergoing various tweakings and necessary improvements in order to play seamlessly on the PS4 platform.

In line with the confirmation, the developers also dropped a preview for the game, which readers can view below.

Before this official reveal, rumors have circulated on the interwebs regarding the game's upcoming release for the PS4, which is primarily attributed to a listing made by European rating board PEGI back in December, detailing the game as an upcoming title for the console.

Gameplay-wise, "Hello Neighbor" will take on the role of a kid who infiltrates his creepy neighbor's house out of pure curiosity. Players will then be tasked with formulating a winning strategy against the mysterious neighbor who is out on a hunt for the unknown intruder.

What is most fascinating about the game is that the antagonist is an AI-based character, who continuously adapts to the user's strategies. It is a must for players to make varied approaches to break into the AI's abode in order to outsmart it.

Storyline-wise, it is divided into three chapters, which draw users closer and deeper to finding out the truth. And incorporated into these stages are various scenarios and events that players need to deal with to continue in-game.

Currently, "Hello Neighbor' is available for purchase on the Xbox One and PC platform. The game is valued at $29.99.

Along with a digital release for the PS4, there are plans of releasing a disc counterpart for the game. A port for the Nintendo Switch has also been addressed, however, a window launch date is yet to be shared.
