Aside from from Jorge Garcia's promotion as one of the regular cast for the fifth season, "Hawaii Five-0" has a lot of things in store for fans as the series begins on Sept. 26.

BREATHEcast pointed out the reports that Detective Lieutenant Chin Ho Kelly (played by Daniel Dae Kim) will be promoted in the office, but it could lead to a bigger story arc later in the season.

Meanwhile, TV Line reported that actress Amanda Setton will join the cast for season five. She will be playing the role of Dr. Mindy Shaw, a recurring character who will be trained by Dr. Max Bergman (Masi Oka). Setton formerly appeared as Lauren Slotsky in the "The Crazy Ones," the shortlived sitcom led by Sarah Michell-Gellar and the late comedian Robin Williams.

On the other hand, fans are speculating if Catherine Rollins and Steve McGarett's relationship will have its much needed closure this season. Rollin, played by actress Michelle Borth, returned to Afghanistan last season. She and McGarrett (Alex O'Loughlin) were trying to maintain a long-distance relationship, yet loyal viewers believe that the two need to have some sort of a civil ending to their relationship.

Another spoiler that is circulating in the grapevine is about the upcoming 100th episode of the series.

Director Larry Teng posted an Instagram photo of Kono (Grace Park) and Adam Noshimuri with the caption "Last setup of the last scene of the last day of episode 100. Thank you to the cast and crew for all your hard work, thank you to the fans who watch this show every week, and thank you to Hawaii for being so supportive of your show. #H50 #H50100."

According to series creator Peter Lenkov, the 100th episode will give light to McGarrett's question about Wo Fat, played by Mark Dacascos.

Hawaii Five-0 Season Five will return in the small screen via CBS starting on Sept. 26, at 9 p.m.
