Fans can expect to discover a lot of treasures in "Hawaii Five-0" when the all-new season premieres later this month. CBS recently released the teaser for the first episode of season 6, which shows that the members of Five-0 Task Force are going to go on a big treasure hunt complete with elaborate pirate attacks.
The synopsis of the premiere episode titled "Mai ho'oni i ka wai lana mâlie (Do Not Disturb the Water that is Tranquil)" reads:
A murder leads Five-0 to investigate a centuries-old Oahu palace raid involving pirates, buried treasure and a killer who is using a stolen painting as a map. Also, the morning after their wedding, Kono (Grace Park) and Adam (Ian Anthony Dale) are threatened and tortured by Gabriel (Christopher Sean), and Danny (Scott Caan) shows concern for McGarrett (Alex O'Loughlin) regarding Catherine's (Michelle Borth) return to the island."
Series showrunner Peter M. Lenkov earlier told TVLine that the episode is loosely adapted from a legend claiming that a fleet of pirates broke the peace and tranquility of Hawaii back in the 1880s. He also shared that at the start of the season, they stage their own version of the "Pirates of the Caribbean" in Waikiki, in search for all the items that were stolen in an elaborate modern-day treasure hunt.
The trailer also shows the wedding reception of Kono and Adam, which appears to turn into a bloodbath later on as Gabriel holds the newlyweds and their guests captive. Kono is also seen shooting at an unrecognized target before a house explodes.
But the trailer is not just all about the dangerous encounters of the members of the Five-0, since McGarrett seems to be excited as he reveals to his trusted partner Danny that he is already planning to propose to Catherine. But early rumors claim that "Falling Skies" star Sarah Carter was tapped to portray the role of nature lover Lynn who will eventually go out on an "adventurous" date with McGarrett later in the season. Does this mean that the proposal will not push through?
