'Hawaii Five-0' season 6 spoilers: Kono to have the 'worst honeymoon' after marrying Adam in episode 1

Hawaii Five-0 CBS

The sixth season premiere of "Hawaii Five-0" will begin exactly where it left off last season, which means that the events after Adam and Kono's wedding will be featured in the first episode, but it may not be as romantic as what fans would like.

"Kono's going to have the worst honeymoon anybody's ever had. It's going to be an interesting ride, that first episode! We have a great story [that is] very cool, very different, very big, and something like we've never done before," series producer Peter Lenkov told TV Line right after the season 5 finale.

The highly anticipated reunion of Steve McGarrett (Alex O' Loughlin) and Catherine (Michelle Borth) is also expected to happen in season 6. However, it would be safer to assume that the former lovers will not rush back into each others' live anytime soon. Steve is still busy fulfilling his role as a member of the Navy SEAL, while Borth has yet to commit for longer stay in the season.

The series producer also revealed to Entertainment Weekly that the premiere episode of "Hawaii Five-0" season 6 will feature a flashback sequence that incorporates an alleged true-to-life historic account dating to the 1800s, when pirates raided Hawaii to amass millions-worth of products and riches.

"It took a lot of research to find this account, and funny enough it was discovered after I had started to develop the story," Lenkov shared. "In the premiere, we will tell whether the story was true of not.'"

Production for "Hawaii Five-0" season 6 is currently underway, and a casting call for a 6-foot-tall extra, weighing 280 pounds and has a shaved head, has been opened to find the person who could fill in the role of an undercover cop or body guard.

The premiere episode of "Hawaii Five-0" season 6 titled "Mai ho*oni i ka wai lana mālie" is slated to air on Sept. 25.
