'Halo 5' DLC release date news: Hog Wild DLC releasing next month?

"Halo 5: Guardians" Memories of Reach will allegedly be followed up by the Hog Wild DLC immediately. 343 Industries

There's no such thing as too soon for developer 343 Industries, which teased the next DLC for "Halo 5: Guardians" as it announced the launch of the Memories of Reach update.

Before the livestream of the developer was fully wrapped up, they teased a DLC pack called Hog Wild. Not much has been revealed except for the pack being heavy with Warthog vehicles.

The M12R Warthog aka the Rocket is expected to get a variant in Hog Wild. According to IGN, the upcoming "Halo 5: Guardians" DLC may not be all about the machines. A real pig might somehow be involved, too.

Minutes before the Hog Wild was teased in the Memories of Reach, Olive, a cute bowtie-rocking pig was shown, as she appeared to be among the items placeable in Forge.

Based on the teaser, the Hog Wild update will also come with a Wasp Armor Set with a Battle Rifle and DMR (both with Carbine sight) for weapons.

This early, it's no surprise no official details about the "Halo 5" DLC have come out yet. 343 Industries hasn't said a word on when they will elaborate on the new content or when it will be available.

However, there's word going around that Hog Wild will be released to "Halo 5" next month as the shooter's next free multiplayer content.

While Hog Wild details are still scarce, gamers can pass time by exploring the "Halo 5" Memories of Reach update, which came with a whole host of new features, reqs and tweaks aiming to make gameplay as smooth as possible.

The center of the update is the new zombie-laden Arena map called Infection. 343 Industries describes it as a meaner and a "whole new" version of the "Halo" franchise's "most beloved and frantic modes." Here is the official description:

Band together with your fellow survivors or hunt your prey with cunning and skill; the highly anticipated Infection game mode is making its way to Halo 5! In Infection, 12 players face off in a round-based game mode, where the initial Infected player aims to convert the survivors into Infected via elimination.
