According to recent reports, comedian Steve Agee is set to appear in "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2."

Agee, known for his now-defunct podcast "Nerd Poker" and for appearing on "The Sarah Silverman Program," is one of the good friends of director James Gunn who were tapped to make a cameo appearance in the film.

His involvement in the movie was revealed by funny man Doug Benson during Scoot McNairy's guesting on the podcast "Doug Loves Movies," where he said: "[Steve] just found out because he's in the 'Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2,' he has to shoot that bullsh*t instead of being here with us today."

Meanwhile, the cast members are already doing their rehearsals for their roles in "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2," particularly lead actor Chris Pratt.

On Instagram, the actor posted a photo of his character Peter Quill's mixtape for the upcoming sequel. He also told his fans how excited he is about the filming of the upcoming movie.

"Feels good to be back in action on Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 2!!! I can't even tell you how excited I am. Ok I'll try. I'm ecstatic. I'm bursting with joy. I'm overwhelmed by feelings of enthusiasm, joy, gratitude, conviviality, camaraderie, elation, exhilaration," the actor shared.

Pratt was also very expressive about being proud of the upcoming movie, saying, "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2. Is going to be the greatest spectacle film of all time. This is not.... bear with me... using online thesaurus..... Hyperbole! This is not hyperbole!"

On Facebook, Gunn also updated movie fans about the ongoing rehearsals of the cast where actors Dave Baustista, Zoe Saldana, Pratt and Sean Gunn can be seen goofing around on the set.

When someone's screwing up a scene during rehearsals I show them Dave Bautista (Batista) as an example of good acting. With Zoe Saldana, Chris Pratt, and Sean Gunn. #GotGVol2
