Rockstar Games' "Grand Theft Auto 5" (GTA 5) is about to celebrate its third anniversary this week, making fans more eager to hear any announcement regarding the rumored sixth installment of the best-selling open-world action-adventure series.

While gamers continuously receive updates on their "GTA 5" and "GTA Online," news about "GTA 6" continues to be scarce. However, it still could not stop fans from formulating their own theories regarding the possible features of the rumored game.

There are speculations suggesting that there will be a time-travelling element in "GTA 6." Rumors claimed that since there might be several futuristic elements in the reported installment of the "GTA" franchise, the playable characters in the game could possibly possess an ability to teleport.

Other theories say that Rockstar might be considering to include a foreign map to the game, particularly one that is set London. However, others suggested that the events will still happen in the U.S., specifically in San Diego.

The game is also rumored to feature a female lead star for the first time, saying that actress Eva Mendez will lend her voice to be the game's new protagonist. She is also reportedly working alongside her real-life partner, Ryan Gosling, as her male companion.

However, Rockstar Games has yet to respond to all the rumors, and they continue their silence regarding the development of the game. But the game developer assured fans that the franchise still has a long way to go.

"We've got about 45 years worth of ideas we want to do," former Rockstar North president and GTA lead developer Leslie Benzies said in an interview with Develop back in 2013. "We don't know what GTA VI will be, but we've got some ideas. GTA Online is the focus right now. There ain't no rest between finishing V and then Online. Plus we have some other things – stuff, DLC, I don't know how to describe it exactly – that we'd like to do, and we'll pick the right ones," Benzies added.

Despite this, fans are still hoping to hear the news about "GTA 6" soon.
