"Grimm" season 6 will show just how difficult for Renard (Sasha Roiz) to change from the power-hungry man that he has become. In the season 5 finale, he may have found a way to have control over Nick (David Giuntoli.)
Although it is technically his daughter Diana's (Hannah R. Loyd) doing, it is speculated that Renard is going to take the credit for killing the Black Claw leader Bonaparte in order for Nick to owe something to him.
Renard might use the power to make Nick do anything to pay for the "favor" he did for him. It is unclear if Nick will be convinced that Renard saved his life out of concern, but Giuntoli said that Nick has every reason to believe that he killed Bonaparte.
"Renard is in love with himself and with power, so when he slays Bonaparte, Nick isn't going to give him the benefit of the doubt," the actor teased to TV Insider.
"If Renard is so incredibly power hungry, why wouldn't he stab the head of Black Claw in the back?" he continued, adding that "Grimm" season 6 will start with "a real melee," a lopsided one at that, between the two men.
Nick, at the moment, is only concerned about getting Adalind (Claire Coffee) and their child away from Renard. It will be very difficult to do that with Diana ready to kill anyone who gets in the way of her parents being together.
On top of that, Giuntoli knows that it will be very complicated for him in "Grimm" season 6 with Juliette (Bitsie Tulloch) showing signs of her existence in Eve's psyche.
"Grimm" season 6 will be back this fall, but with only 13 episodes, which is fewer than the usual 22. This has fans worried that it will be the fantasy detective drama's end.
Giuntoli isn't sure about that yet since there could be more episode orders. The actor did promise that viewers will be satisfied with how things will end should "Grimm" season 6 be its last.
