There were tons of developments that took place in the penultimate episode of "Grey's Anatomy" season 12, but the thrill and drama will be at the ceiling in the finale titled "Family Affair."
It was just last week that Amelia proposed to Owen (ABC revealed in a sneak peek of the "Grey's Anatomy" season 12 finale that the latter said yes). Now, the wedding bells are already ringing for the couple.
As "Grey's Anatomy" fans might have guessed, every wedding on the show has its hitch. In the case of Amelia's big day, it will be Meredith's feeling of uncertainty about the marriage.
However, in the promo for "Grey's Anatomy" season 12 finale, Meredith assured Amelia that she has her support. Of course, it wasn't always that way for her.
"Meredith has some feelings that are ambivalent, because Meredith is very proud and a mama bear," Kevin McKidd who plays Owen told Entertainment Weekly.
"She was asked by Cristina to be Owen's protector. She has her issues with Amelia. Meredith and her have a huge blowout on the wedding day," the actor teased. That "blowout" will have Amelia "flipping out," as she made known to Meredith in the "Grey's Anatomy" season 12 finale promo.
Unlike Meredith, Maggie is extremely excited about Amelia and Owen's new chapter in life as a soon-to-be married couple. Kelly McCreary says that since her character is in a good place in terms of relationships right now, "she's all for the wedding."
Meanwhile, Amelia and Owen's union is just half of what the "Grey's Anatomy" season 12 finale will be all about. As the wedding takes place, April discovers she is about to pop.
Ben is doing the best he can to help her deliver the baby and is understandably in panic, even though he sees situations like this everyday in the office.
Hopefully, there won't be any operation-without-proper-tools involved here this time. It will be exciting to see what Jackson will do knowing that April is about to deliver their child.
Things are definitely moving forward quickly in the lives of the Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital doctors. That's not even including Meredith and Nathan's unexpected hookup.
