Jada Pinkett-Smith's highly anticipated return to "Gotham" season will finally happen on Monday.

The actress' fan-favorite character Fish Mooney was believed to be dead when she plummeted into the ocean while battling with Oswald "The Penguin" Cobblepot (Robin Lord Taylor) in season 1. But it appears that the nightclub owner/mobster survived the fatal fall, or someone could have brought her back to life.

Based on the trailer for the upcoming episode titled "Wrath of the Villains: A Legion of Horribles," the seemingly lifeless Fish Mooney will be suddenly resurrected after being enclosed in a tank with the help of Hugo Strange (B.D. Wong) inside the mysterious Indian Hill facility. When the doctor asks her if she remembers her name, the feisty gang leader will coldly say, "My name is Fish Mooney, bitch."

The trailer also reveals that Bruce Wayne (David Mazouz) will go to Strange's lair to rescue his friend Selina Kyle (Camren Bicondova). She was captured by Strange's men after Bruce assigned her to gather more information about the evil doctor.

In the trailer, Strange will persuade the orphaned billionaire to join him in his experiments just like what his late father did when he was still alive. But Bruce knows that Strange is the same person responsible for killing his parents, which is why he will resist Strange's offer.

The clip also shows that Bruce's life will be threatened in the hands of Edward Nygma (Cory Michael Smith). It appears that the Gotham City Police Department's forensic expert is already out of himself when he demands to get answer from Bruce regarding the Indian Hill facility. This could mean that Strange is already working on his experiments with Nygma's mind.

According to the synopsis for the upcoming episode:

"Hugo Strange welcomes a familiar face to GOTHAM after he resurrects Fish Mooney in Indian Hill. Later, Bruce discovers a friend is in danger and teams up with Gordon, Alfred and Lucius, while uncovering more of Strange's experiments."

'Gotham' season 2 episode 21 airs on Monday, May 16, on FOX.
