Will Jerome turn into the full-fledge Joker in "Gotham" season 2?
Cameron Monaghan, the actor who portrayed the role of the psychopathic Jerome Valeska in season 1, recently posted a black-and-white photograph in his Instagram account. In the picture, he looks like he is about to get his mug shot done while wearing the signature sinister smile of the Clown Prince of Crime.
It was previously revealed that "Gotham" season 2 will feature the return of Monaghan's character. This time, the show will focus on his transformation to becoming Batman's greatest nemesis.
"We're going to find out how the hell Jerome, the proto-Joker we met earlier in this season, connects with the Joker as people known him. That's the big focus of the beginning of the second season. We're going to tell the story of how the Joker came to be," series showrunner Brunno Heller told The Hollywood Reporter back in May.
If Monaghan's Jerome will indeed be the Joker in FOX's adaptation of the legendary DC Comics character, then this creepy post is an indication that the ruthless enemy of the Caped Crusader will be up to no good.
Meanwhile, the network recently revealed that actress Jessica Lucas will portray the role of Tabitha Galavan, the "sexy and violent" sister of James Frain's character Theo.
According to TVLine, Tabitha will also use the nickname Tigress, and "she's the opposite of her cold and calculating brother, deriving a sensual pleasure from the mayhem she's tasked with making." Both Theo and Tabitha are created as original villains for the TV series, and their main goal is to spread discord in the city.
Also, E! News reported that "Gotham" is currently looking for an actress who will portray the recurring role of Scarlett St. George, an "ethereal looking, opinionated, beguiling, and free spirited" lady who is also charming and full of personality. Will she get the attention of one of the officers in Gotham's police department?
"Gotham" season 2 premieres on Sept. 21 on FOX.
