Fans of "Gotham" have to endure two more weeks of the show's six-week long hiatus, but their waiting will reportedly pay off once the series returns for its 19th episode titled "Beasts of Prey" because of a dangerous serial killer. According to Melty.com, a deranged serial killer named the Ogre will be roaming the streets of Gotham.

The first glimpse of the new villainous character, portrayed by "Heroes" alum Milo Ventimiglia, has been posted by TV Guide. The published magazine reported that series producer John Stephens was highly impressed by Ventimiglia's portrayal of the extremely dangerous and homicidal killer who is also known as Jason Lennon.

"Even when his character's doing the most horrendous things, you can't take your eyes off him," Stephens said.

Ventimiglia will reportedly appear in three episodes of the series. His character is described as a very handsome, rich, and charming serial killer who can attract several young women of Gotham to come to him before slaying them in the most horrific way possible.

The synopsis for the episode reads: "Gordon and Bullock investigate a cold case involving the Ogre, a serial killer who targets young women in Gotham City. Meanwhile, Fish plots her escape from the Dollmaker, and Bruce and Selina confront Reggie."

On the other hand, fans of the show are advised to look forward the explosive final four episodes of the season. Fox revealed a teaser video for the last four episodes wherein Detective James Gordon (Ben McKenzie) has to face all the lawless elements in Gotham to protect its residents.

The Ogre will also be featured in episode 20, and is expected to be familiar with a person close to Gordon. Could it be Gordon's former fiancée Barbara Kean (Erin Richards) since she and the Ogre were photographed together in the TV Guide feature?

"Gotham" episode 19 airs on Monday, April 13.
