It seems like "Gotham" season 1 has gotten more exciting over the past weeks as new drama and adventure unfolded one after another within the Gotham City Police Department.

In the upcoming episode titled "Everyone Has A Cobblepot," a new alliance will be formed between unlikely individuals. The official synopsis for the episode was released by Fox. It reads:

"While Gordon (Ben McKenzie) seeks information about the recent controversy with Commissioner Loeb (Peter Scolari), Fish's (Jada Pinkett Smith) allegiance with the prisoners is questioned when she appears to join forces with Dr. Dulmacher (guest star Colm Feore). Meanwhile, after an attack close to home, Bruce (David Mazouz) deals with the aftermath."

Everyone who knows Fish recognizes the fact that she is extremely loyal to anyone who is also loyal to her. But would she decide to break their trust just to make sure that she could return to Gotham as someone who is more powerful than what she was before? Can Fish Mooney manage to return to the city's underworld once she gets back?

Meanwhile, the impact of a recent attack deeply affected the orphaned boy Bruce. Will he manage to get past it, or will this attack instill something in him that he can use later in life?

Gotham may not have the best start this season, but the show managed to exceed expectations, especially after Jada Pinkett-Smith's role added more depth in the story when her nightclub was taken away from her. In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE, Pinkett-Smith discussed Fish's determined drive to be in control, and get back what she thinks she deserves in Gotham.

"Fish is all about control, but at the end of the day, she's still very vulnerable and she's still trying to figure out how to have absolutely everything that she needs and wants, which is basically to get out of there and to get back to Gotham and get her club back – if that's even possible," the actress said.

"Gotham" episode 18 airs on Monday, March 2.
