One of the lessons that "Glee" wants to convey to its fans is to be true to oneself and loving their own personality, which is probably why one of its characters will embrace her true persona in the sixth and final season of the hit musical comedy series.

Rumors about a female character transitioning to become a man started to circulate online, after E! Online teased that the show wants to touch that highly sensitive topic in season 6. According to reports, the storyline will be very emotional, and one of the best-loved characters of the show will undergo this physically, mentally, and emotionally painful process.

If recent evidences will be considered, it seems like Coach Shannon Beiste (Dot-Marie Jones) will be the one who will choose to change from being a female to a male.

Over the years, the series portrayed her as a tough but compassionate football team coach, and she helped Will Schuester (Matthew Morrison) in training the McKinley High glee club in season three. But the show also tackled about Beiste's longing for love, when she longed for her very first kiss that was given to her by her friend Will, and her disastrous marriage to a football recruiter named Cooter Menkins (Eric Bruskotter) who turned out to be a wife beater.

That is why Beiste's possible decision to turn into a man could be very surprising, considering her history of heterosexual relationships. But since this is "Glee," nothing is impossible.

Also, an Instagram post showing Jones sporting a shorter haircut and full of facial hair was uploaded by a user named Briaen, with the caption, "I want to thank the folks at #Glee for working with our community!! We are here for all of you, much love and equality to you all!! @dotmariejones."

It means that the speculations about Beiste's transformation are possibly true.

The show will also tackle another LGBT issue on its final season, wherein Santana (Naya Rivera) and Brittany (Heather Morris) will reportedly get married.

"Glee's" season 6 premiere episode will air on Jan. 9, 2015 on Fox.
