'Girl Meets World' season 3 spoilers: 'Ski Lodge' episodes focus on Riley-Lucas-Maya love triangle

What will happen to Maya, Riley and Lucas in "Girl Meets World" season 3? Disney Channel

The production for "Girl Meets World" season 3 continues to progress. The writers of the hit Disney Channel series recently wrapped up the first half of the new season. Now, they provided some details on some of the episodes.

In the latest tweet they shared, they revealed that the "Ski Lodge" two-parter will be the "Girl Meets World" season 3's version of the "Girl Meets Texas" from season 2.

For those who need a refresher, "Girl Meets Texas" was a two-part special that focused on the love triangle involving Maya, Lucas and Riley. It was established in this pair of episodes that Riley and Maya both like Lucas while he believes he has romantic feelings for the two as well. Riley decided to take a step back for her best friend to be happy even though it broke her heart. If the "Ski Lodge" episodes in "Girl Meets World" season 3 will be the same as "Girl Meets Texas," these installments could very well tie all loose ends in the love triangle storyline. The "Girl Meets World" writers have always said that the love triangle is not really a love triangle and fans will find out why in the "Ski Lodge" episodes. And since it will take them four episodes to resolve all of it as they revealed on Twitter, the "Girl Meets Triangle" and "Girl Meets Upstate," which the writers said "is real good," will also be tackling that storyline.

Fans will have to prepare for a twist though because the love triangle might not be what it appears to be in the end.

The writers also teased that in "Girl Meets World" season 3, "Riley, Maya, Lucas all find a relationship." It is unclear if that applies in a romantic sense.

If it does, it will make a lot of sense why the writers have always said that the Riley-Lucas-Maya situation isn't a love triangle and that the girl who does not end up with Lucas will find someone as well.

Whichever way all this goes, "Girl Meets World" writers promise that "every episode so far is good."

"Girl Meets World" season 3 is expected to premiere this June on Disney Channel.
