Despite the confirmation from Harington himself that his character is already dead, speculations claiming that Jon Snow is still alive after being stabbed by his Watch brothers have remained since the fifth season finale. This was further fueled when Harington's co-star Emilia Clarke seemed to confirm the theory during her Film Independent Spirit Awards appearance Saturday night.

Clarke, who portrays Daenerys Targaryen in the HBO adaptation of George R.R. Martin's bestselling "A Song of Ice and Fire" novels, was asked by "Birth of a Nation" star Nate Parker to confirm if Jon Snow is still alive in season 6 by winking. The actress cheekily obliged before announcing the nominees for Best First Feature.

Another "Game of Thrones" co-star, Liam Cunningham, also seemed to have given a clue as to how Jon Snow will possibly come back from the dead when he talked about the premiere episode of season 6.

"The first episode to kick off with [Melisandre] – without saying anything again – is astonishing," Cunningham revealed in an interview, as reported by Watchers on the Wall. "There's absolutely amazing stuff coming up, just so left of field. Just watching your and my favourite characters being put in these situations that are just so unpredictable and just so unexpected – it's one of the trademarks of the show."

But while Jon Snow's fate is still in question, his half-sister Arya Stark will reportedly experience tougher time in season 6, according to actress Maisie Williams.

"Going into season 6, she gets broken down totally. We see her at the lowest point we've ever seen her," Williams told Digital Spy. She also revealed that Arya's despair will have nothing to do with the death of a family member, which bothered her during the past five seasons. Instead, Arya's suffering will be purely about her.

"Game of Thrones" season 6 premieres on HBO on April 24.
