'Game of Thrones' Season 8 release date, spoilers update: Daenerys could face a bitter defeat due to plot-hole

The fans will have to wait for another year to witness the epic conclusion of the HBO hit television series "Game of Thrones." In season 8, the much-awaited battle between the forces of Westeros and the White Walkers will finally happen, but according to the latest spoilers, a major player in the game is likely to meet her end. This character is none other than Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke), which many people have thought to be the person with the best chance of claiming the Iron Thrones.

Per Express UK, the fans have been speculating about the outcome of the impending great battle. For now, there are still many who believe that Daenerys will be able to withstand the White Walker army, and ultimately claim lordship over the Seven Kingdoms, with the help of his new lover, Jon Snow (Kit Harington). Unfortunately, a fan theory regarding the lack of focus on the Dornish army could spell an end to Daenerys' dreams of becoming the new queen of Westeros.

A fan particularly complained about the story not giving enough attention to Dorne, a kingdom that has already pledged its allegiance to the House Targaryen. The fan claims that the Dornish army will help Daenerys conquer the entire Westeros, citing that even the Lannisters fear the capability of this army. It can be recalled that the Greyjoys had subdued the Martel fleet, although it is speculated that the entire army of Dorne was not captured.

There could be a reason behind the Dornish army becoming missing-in-action, but if ever this army will not be present in "Game of Thrones" season 8 to stand with Daenerys, this lowers her chances of winning the huge battle for Westeros.

Speaking of battle, Watchers on the Wall has reported "Game of Thrones" assistant director Jonathan Quinlan posting a now-deleted photo on Instagram. The photo contains a letter that recounts the production staff and actors' efforts in creating the biggest battle yet in the history of the show. The battle sequence is said to have taken 55 consecutive nights to be completed.

There are no details provided regarding the said huge battle, although it was tipped that the filming for the battle in Winterfell already wrapped up. According to insider reports, the battle will claim the entire kingdom in the North, and its destruction is due to the rampage of the White Walkers and the zombified dragon of Daenerys, Viserion.
