More heartbreaking deaths should be expected in the new season of "Game of Thrones" coming on Sunday.
In the final teaser before the premiere episode of season 6, Tyrion Lannister's (Peter Dinklage) is heard saying: "Whoever you are, wherever you go, someone wants to murder you."
The start of the trailer immediately shows Jon Snow's (Kit Harrington) lifeless body as he is about to be laid to rest by his brothers at the Night's Watch, who were also the ones who killed him. This could mean that the fan-favorite character is really dead, contrary to theories that he is still alive. However, fans of the show still refuse to believe so, saying that the Red Priestess Melisandre (Carice van Houten) will resurrect him in the upcoming season.
However, van Houten already dismissed the theories in an interview with Empire Online, saying that a lot of fans will be disappointed to find out that their theories that Melisandre could bring a person back to life may be wrong.
"Why so much pressure on my character? I mean, I understand that he's the good we want in this crazy world," the actress said. "And me and my mother and my sister want him to come back very desperately. But Melisandre has never brought anyone back to life. Why does it have to be me?"
The trailer also shows Jon Snow's half-sister Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner) and Theon Greyjoy (Alfie Allen) escaping the from Winterfell to run away from the brutal Ramsay Bolton (Iwan Rheon). Sansa was forced to marry Ramsay in season 5, and her new husband forced her to consummate their marriage in front of Theon.
But according to Turner, her character will show that she is not the meek, gentle Stark daughter that she was known for.
"She, this season, really commands the respect that she deserves and she grabs hold of it and she runs with it and it's really good," Turner said in an interview reported by Newsweek.
HBO will air the premiere episode of "Game of Thrones" on Sunday, April 24.
