Actor Kit Harington has finally spoken about the possible rise from the dead of his beloved character Jon Snow in "Game of Thrones" season 6. During an interview with Time Out, he clarified as to what extent Jon Snow will appear in the upcoming season.
"Look, I'm not in the show any more. I'm definitely not in the new series," Harington said. When asked if he shot new scenes for the award-winning series, he quipped, "I filmed some scenes of me being dead –it's some of my best work."
Harington was also extra coy in giving away precious "Game of Thrones" season 6 details during the chat. So when he was asked about how much he was allowed to learn about the new season, he said, "I don't have a clue. I know how long I'm a corpse for, but I can't tell you that."
[Spoiler Alert!] It has always been said that Jon Snow will be back from the dead. In the books, Melisandre resurrected the former lord commander of Night's Watch. Previous spoilers and leaked set photos even suggested that he will be part of important events in "Game of Thrones" season 6.
With that said, it looks like fans haven't seen the last of Jon Snow. The question now is the degree of his appearance in the new season. Harington's beloved character is the one on the HBO juggernaut's promo poster, which means that he will be a big deal in "Game of Thrones" season 6.
In related news, Ian McShane has dropped more clues about who he will be playing in "Game of Thrones" season 6. In an interview with BBC Breakfast, the "Deadwood" alum revealed that his character will play a part in the return of a certain dead character.
"I have nursed a much-loved character back to life," McShane said. When asked if this character in question is either The Hound or Jon Snow, he said: "It's not the latter, it might be the former." This had many believing that he will play a version of the Elder Brother from the books.
This character is responsible for The Hound's return from the dead. Describing his character more, he said that his character "is an ex-warrior who's become a peacenik" and one that has a "peaceful cult tribe." Watch his interview below:
