HBO started the promotion for the fifth season of the hit fantasy drama series "Game of Thrones" by unveiling a 10-second teaser this week.  The teaser, which focuses on Arya Stark, was posted on the official "Game of Thrones" Twitter account on Nov. 26.

A narrator in the clip is heard saying, "I see a darkness in you," while showing Arya's expertise in sword fighting while battling the bad guys.  At the end of the video, references to The Sight as well as the mysterious Three Eyed Raven is presented, which means that season 5 will feature Arya's alleged connection to Bran's mystic animal.

Slash Film reported that the upcoming "Game of Thrones" season 5 will stray from the original "A Song of Ice and Fire" novels written by George R.R. Martin more than it did in the past four seasons. The plot for this season supposedly comes from Martin's fourth and fifth novels titled "A Feast for Crows" and "A Dance with Dragons."

New characters will also be introduced this season, including Oberyn's brother Doran Martell played by actor Alexander Siddig, his son Trystane Martell portrayed by Toby Sebastian, Cercei and Jamie Lannister's only daughter Myrcella Baratheon who will be portrayed by Nell Tiger Free, Dornish palace guard captain Areo Hotah who will be played by DeObia Oparei, and slave trader Yezzan who will be portrayed by Enzo Cilenti.  Fans of the show will also meet Oberyn Martell's bastard daughters Nymeria Sand played by Jessica Henwick, Tyene Sand played by Rosabell Laurenti Sellers, and Obara Sand portrayed by Keisha Castle-Hughes, as well as the leader of the militant faithful in King's Landing named High Sparrow, played by Jonathan Pryce.

Aside from Arya's future in season 5, the trailer also introduced a new "Game of Thrones" viral website in its final seconds. The site called threeeyedraven.com allows users to sign up to receive regular updates about the series via text or tweets.

"Game of Thrones" season 5 will be launched by HBO sometime in spring 2015.
