The wait for "Frozen 2" might take a while longer based on the reports that the sequel's production has been delayed.

According to reports, the production for the upcoming sequel has been stalled because the script is still in the works.

Actress Kristen Bell previously revealed in an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! that the writers are still making sure that the story for "Frozen 2" is worth the wait.

"They take a lot of time over there to just perfect it. It has to go through a lot of development to make sure it's exactly the story that needs to be told," the actress who voiced the character of Princess Anna said.

She also said that she is hoping to start recording for the project soon.

"We haven't started recording. We're just waiting to get out hands on the script."

Bell also explained that she has learned to love her character in the 2013 Disney Films' blockbuster hit.

"[Anna's] pretty much me, it's pretty much me," she said.

Despite the lack of information about the actual start date of the upcoming "Frozen" sequel, Bell revealed that she and her co-stars have been working on several projects related to the movie since its release in 2013.

"We've been doing it for the last couple years like when Japanese EPCOT center opens [or] there's a holiday special at one of the Disneyland parks of the toys. We all still — Josh [Gad], Idina [Menzel], Jonathon [Groff] and I — we have to still get together," the actress stated.

The news about the development of "Frozen 2" was dropped during Disney's annual shareholders meeting in San Francisco back in March 2015. The announcement was dropped by Gad, the actor who portrays the role of Olaf in the movie, together with Disney chief Bob Iger and Walt Disney and Pixar Animated Studios chief creative officer John Lasseter.

Disney has yet to announce the official release date of "Frozen 2."
