'Frozen 2' release date and plot rumors: Olaf's voice actor sure to get tips from 5-year-old daughter

Characters from the Disney film "Frozen"

Fans of Disney's "Frozen" are always on the edge whenever new details about the animated film's sequel are in the news, which means that the popularity of the movie has not waned two years after it was first released.

The sequel for the record-breaking Disney animation was first announced back in March, but details about its plot remain undisclosed.

Speculations claim that "Frozen 2" will send a strong message to its viewers just like what it did in the first film. In a recent interview with MTV News, director Chris Buck said that they are still in the early stages of development, but they already have a concept in mind that they want to tackle in the next movie.

"We have two very strong female leads in Frozen. We will keep that going in the next one. We will tackle other issues that, I think, are out there today that boys and girls, men and women, are dealing with," he said.

The movie director believes that the film can leave a big influence on its young audience despite the light approach that is presented in the Oscar Award-winning animation.

But while Buck and co-director Jennifer Lee are still brainstorming about the plot for the sequel, actor Josh Gad said that his five-year-old daughter Ava would definitely give him tips once the filming for "Frozen 2" begins. Gad, the actor who lent his voice for "Frozen's" adorable snowman Olaf, said that his daughter is a big fan of the film.

In a previous interview with British publication Belfast Telegraph, he said, "I'm sure when I actually start working on it full-time, she'll have tips."

He also said that Ava could definitely throw in her own ideas for the movie because she is "very imaginative."

Gad will reportedly reprise his role for the sequel, together with the other cast members of the original "Frozen" film, namely Idina Menzel as Elsa, Kristen Bell as Anna, and Jonathan Groff as Kristoff.

"Frozen 2" is speculated to be released sometime in 2018.
