Survival horror game, "Friday the 13th," has been getting a lot of attention recently with more and more players coming to play the game online. However, not everyone will always want to play online so a single-player mode has always been clamored for. Thankfully, that feature has recently just been implemented but it seems it is quite harder than expected.

The news of a single-player mode was first announced on the game's official Twitter account. The tweet shared a YouTube video featuring a first look at what players can expect from the new mode. While big additions such as these usually come at a price, this one will be available to everyone entirely for free.

The video does not offer much, but being a first-look video, the footage may have just been taken from a development build. Nevertheless, it features two teens, Bugsy and Adam, who eventually die brutally at the hands of no other than Jason himself.

"Friday the 13th" originally came out as an online-only kind of game. While this presented its own kind of fun having to play with random strangers and cooperating to get out of the area, some would want to improve their skills by playing the game alone. In December last year, players' wish for an offline mode was granted.

The game first launched back in May of last year and had a rough time trying to build a player base. It started out as a game for the fans of the "Friday the 13th" movie series, but had struggled to maintain a good player base due to the numerous bugs that plagued the title. Undeniably, there was potential seen for the game, which its developers were able to capitalize on thus enticing more players to try it out.

This new single-player mode has no official release date yet but given that it is already in development, it should arrive anytime soon.
