In today's generation, Twitch has hosted thousands of streamers playing the most popular games. In a way, gamers could see which game is the most popular at least based on the Twitch streams. While "PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds" ("PUBG") and "League of Legends" ("LoL") are undoubtedly one of the top players, "Fortnite" actually beats both of them.

"Fortnite" has just reached double the number of views they have compared with the game that started — or at least made famous — the battle royale genre in the first place, "PUBG." The data gathered was based on 14 days of streams. Based on the data gathered by SullyGnome, "Fortnite" streams have been viewed for a total of 4,882 years and 208 days.

To compare this to "LoL," the multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) has been watched for a total of 4,564 years and 190 days within the same 14-day period. This is in the perspective of viewership. When it comes to streaming time, this is the number that doubles "PUBG."

"Fortnite" has been streamed for over a whopping 246 years and 231 days. This is double and even more than that of "PUBG" with 106 years and 194 days. The data gathered also showed how much the game has gotten more and more interested Twitch viewers over the past three months since December 2017.

Back then, the game had nearly 45 thousand viewers. Just recently, the number has more than tripled with around 150 thousand viewers. It is then also interesting to note that their rival, "PUBG," has also seen a decline in viewership as well. From 100 thousand viewers last December to 50 thousand last weekend.

At least gamers now where the former "PUBG" gamers are assumably going. This is also not so surprising given that "Fortnite," just last month, has reached more concurrent players than "PUBG."
