'Fortnite' patch news: Jetpacks and new limited-time mode

Popular first-person shooter game "Fortnite" seems to be improving more than ever. With constant updates, there are new heroes, items and changes being made every time. It looks like the latest update will even add a new item — the Jetpack.

"Take the fight to all new heights," reads the description of the Jetpack. There is not much to know about it officially, at least from Epic Games itself, about what it can potentially do or how it would be dropped, among other details. However, it does not take much to imagine what jetpacks, in general, can do.

When the item comes out, players should not be surprised to see someone killing them from above. When used perfectly, this could even help players win the game. Of course, there will be some limitations for it. Right now, players can only think of the balances developer Epic Games will add to the new item.

Checking the game's subreddit will have tons of speculations on the Jetpack. Some agree that the Jetpack would be a sort of portable version of the jump pad leaving players with less actual time on air. Others would think that it helps players remain in the air for an amount of time making it an air-based fight against others with the jetpack as well.

Only Epic Games can tell what it will be useful for. According to GameSpot, it may just come out with their future limited-time modes that have previously been teased, one of which is the "floor is lava." This would make perfect sense for the jetpack to come in.

Speaking of limited-time game modes, Solid Gold is already playable today. In the game mode, all the weapons will be legendary weapons regardless of where it will be found. Players who want to try it out will need a squad as the mode is only available with a group of players.
