"Five Nights at Freddy's World" is now for the taking once again, but this time, the latest Scott Cawthon game is available for free. This is to compensate for the animator's mistake of rushing to launch the role-playing game prematurely and short of features.
When the game was first released late last month, it received not-so stellar reviews from fans, which prompted Cawthon to pull it out of Steam and provide refund to all those who purchased it. Weeks later, Cawthon releases the title once more – gratis and packed with new features.
The updated version of "Five Nights at Freddy's World" now has a newly-revamped overworld. Fans will remember that when Cawthon first removed the game from Steam, he mentioned that he was working on a "fully 3D overworld" for the game and this setting can now be seen in action in the game.
The latest installment in the "Five Nights at Freddy's" franchise sees the animatronics as friendly characters on a mission to save the digital world. Gamers will play the role of Freddy and they will have to defeat all kinds of monsters and tread all kinds of worlds to complete their task.
Cawthon promises that more features and updates will be added to "Five Nights at Freddy's World" as months progress. He even referred to the re-release as the "first" updated version of "Five Nights at Freddy's World."
In other related news, McFarlane Toys recently unveiled the new building sets inspired by Cawthon's hit point-and-click survival horror game series. The sets showcase Chica, Golden and Pirate Cove in their full creepy glories.
McFarlane also unveiled 8-bit figures of the "Five Nights at Freddy's" characters. More animatronics are included here this time, such as Foxy, Freddy Fazbear, Golden Freddy, Mangle, Puppet, Purple Guy and Purple Man. Check out the toys over at Kotaku.
