'Finding Carter' season 2B spoilers: Trailer reveals Ben's secret in 'Native Son'

Carter's (Kathryn Prescott) life gets more complicated in the second half of "Finding Carter" season 2.

MTV has released the trailer for the next 12 episodes and it shows how Carter and her family deal with the explosive revelation during the midseason finale that aired in June. The one and a half minute video provides a glimpse at how the Wilsons' lives turn upside down after it was revealed that Carter's dad David (Alexis Denisof) has an unknown son with her abductor Lori (Milena Govich).

As Carter tries to get to know more about her newfound half-brother Ben (Ben Winchell), fans of the show will discover that the situation inside the Wilson household is getting worse. She attempts to learn more about the brother that she never thought she had, but she does not like what she finds out.

The beginning of the video shows a conversation between her and Lori, who is still trying to be involved in her life. Carter bluntly tells her kidnapper-turned-biological mother that she does not want to have anything to do with her. The teenager also discovers that Lori and Ben have moved near the Wilsons after his identity was revealed. David is seen reaching out to the son that he never knew existed, and even tells his wife Elizabeth (Cynthia Watros) that the boy has his eyes.

But as Ben slowly gets integrated into their family, Carter soon discovers that Ben's real intension to be close to them is to steal money from anyone inside the house, particularly from their father.

"How could you sit there and tell stories, and then steal from my dad?" Carter confronts Ben, but he only gives her an offensive reply.

Carter also goes out of control in the second half of season 2 as she decides to drop out of high school and work as a bartender. She seems to enjoy her new lifestyle at first, but things get out of hand before she even realizes it.

Gabe (Jesse Henderson) is also featured in the trailer, and Max (Alex Saxon) believes he has feelings for Carter's twin Taylor (Anna Jacoby-Heron).

Meanwhile, Lori seems to be more determined to do whatever it takes to force herself into the Wilsons' lives.

"Finding Carter" season 2B begins with the episode titled "Native Son," slated to air on Tuesday, Oct. 6, on MTV.
