Things are not looking good for Carter (Kathryn Prescott) in the next episode of "Finding Carter" season 2.

In the previous episode, Carter found out that her boyfriend Jared (Jackson Rathbone) has a wife and a kid. She opted to learn more about his past by spying on his wife to find out what went wrong in his past relationship.

Carter disguised herself as a shopper in the boutique where Jared's wife Sarah works and asked a lot of personal questions regarding their past marriage when she pointed out the wedding ring. Sarah answered all the questions and told her what kind of husband Jared was.

"He's a complete loser, and I have a kid with him. She's the most beautiful baby in the world — that's why it's so insane to me that my ex doesn't even want to see her," Sarah claimed. Carter got confused, since the Jared that she knows will never abandon his daughter.

Jared showed some proof that Sarah was lying by bringing some court documents that he never ignored his daughter by fighting for her custody. Despite all these, Jared and Carter decided to patch things up and move in together.

But based on the synopsis for the upcoming episode titled "The Death of a Heart," things will turn sour again for Carter and Jared.

The synopsis for "Finding Carter" season 2 episode 21 reads:

"Carter's relationship with Jared is tested; things come to a head between Elizabeth (Cynthia Watros) and Lori (Milena Govich); and Max (Alex Saxon) deals with the aftermath of his father's trial."

Could the event in the upcoming episode destroy Carter and Jared's relationship for good?

Meanwhile, things between Elizabeth and Lori will turn for the worse. This could have something to do with Lori's decision to condone Carter's new lifestyle. But can they compromise for the sake of Carter?

"Finding Carter" season 2 episode 21 airs on Tuesday, Dec. 1, on MTV.
