It looks like developer Square Enix has no plans at the moment on bringing the highly anticipated "Final Fantasy 7" remake to the Nintendo NX.

Rumors about the remake as well as the long-awaited game "Final Fantasy 15" being brought over to the Nintendo NX recently came to light.

Game director Hajime Tabata clarified to Game Reactor that there are currently no plans in porting "Final Fantasy 15" to the Nintendo NX although he said he has some expectations.

Unfortunately, Tabata did not mention anything about having the "Final Fantasy 7" remake playable to the Nintendo NX. Updates on the game have been difficult to come by anyway.

Square Enix's radio silence about the "Final Fantasy 7" remake had some gamers worried that it was scrapped by the company.

Last month, game director Tetsuya Nomura clarified in an interview with Famitsu that despite the lack of updates, the "Final Fantasy 7" remake is still on the table.

"I know I haven't given any information in a while, but please rest assured that work is moving forward steadily," Nomura said at that time.

"We are currently getting specifics ready for the next information release... We plan to bring a whole lot out in one go instead of dribs and drabs, so please look forward to it. I am looking forward to the reveals myself," he promised.

He provided no details on when big reveals about the "Final Fantasy 7" remake will be shared to fans, but it looks like fans can look forward to learn a great deal about the game.

When the "Final Fantasy 7" remake was first announced last month, Square Enix said that this game will allow players to go beyond the story and experience it in a whole new way.

The game is coming as a multi-episode format to effectively flesh out the original story. Fans hope that Nomura's next reveal will entail the release date of the game as well as a preview for it.
