The week before the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2016, a whole host of information about "Final Fantasy 15" was revealed, courtesy of game director Hajime Tabata via the latest Active Time Report.
First, Tabata hinted that a PS4 bundle for "Final Fantasy 15" is on the table, but he said that it won't be done unless Sony greenlit the release. For now, fans will have to do with the game's various editions (Day One, Deluxe and Ultimate Collector's), which are already enough to excite fans.
Also during the Active Time Report, Tabata told fans to imagine the map of "Final Fantasy 15" less of an open-world like the "The Witcher 3" or "Grand Theft Auto 5" and more of a blanket that unfolds itself for further exploration as gamers progress in the game.
Unlike action titles, "Final Fantasy 15" was designed in a way that players will be able to easily adapt to the system and be comfortable with it as they continue to play.
Tabata was a bit coy when it comes to the weapons in "Final Fantasy 15." He, however, revealed that there will be seven weapon types that are unique in terms of usability.
One of these weapons called the Armiger Arsenal will be connected to the main story of "Final Fantasy 15." Tabata did not elaborate on it and left this bit for fans to discover when the game releases.
The "Final Fantasy 15" director, however, teased that Noctis' car—Regalia—will be faster than the good old Chocobos, which means that fans will be able to cover more ground.
Despite this, there will still be Chocobos at gamers' disposal in "Final Fantasy 15," and if players feed them various meals, their stamina and speed improves.
Although the Regalia has been made much more useful in "Final Fantasy 15," it can make or break the progress of players. They will have to be extra careful when they pilot it and more importantly, when they land it.
In the event it crashes during landing, players will return to the time before the flight started. Although this task sounds a bit intimidating, Tabata assures that landing it perfectly won't be difficult.
Although Tabata has revealed plenty of things during the Active Time Report about "Final Fantasy 15," more details and (expectedly) trailer will be presented at the E3 2016.
