The premiere of "Fear the Walking Dead" season 2 showed that the survivors can never really outrun the epidemic. On board Victor Strand's yacht, Travis's small group goes seabound but the virus has found its way to the water.
Apart from zombies floating on water, the crew has so much more to be wary of as "Fear the Walking Dead" season 2 progresses. One is figuring out who they are in the face of the world's end and another is the objective of the yacht's owner himself – Strand.
In "Fear the Walking Dead" season 2, episode 2 "We All Fall Down," Daniel will try to figure out what the billionaire's true intentions are, although Madison will also try to crack the case at some point. As per showrunner Dave Erickson, his motives will become clearer moving on.
"Clearly, he has a plan, he has an agenda, which he's only sharing part of, if any. What's interesting to me, it is his boat, he's the captain, but he has this crew that he's brought with him, none of whom really trust him," Erickson told Deadline.
"That provides us with the opportunity for alliances. And as Madison tries to figure him out, there's a certain degree of simpatico I think between the two of them. I think they both are survivors," the showrunner added.
In the promo released by AMC to give fans a preview of the entire "Fear the Walking Dead" season 2, there's a lot about Strand coming across as bad to his fellow survivors
One scene in the "Fear the Walking Dead" season 2 promo shows Madison telling him off, "You don't decide who lives and who dies." Daniel can also be heard saying that they don't need him.
The "Fear the Walking Dead" season 2 promo also shows how the mini web-series "Flight 462" will be integrated into the season. Chris is shown in the clip inspecting the crashed plane with a zombie inside.
The clip also shows that as "Fear the Walking Dead" season 2 progresses, the group will realize that the zombies are not the only ones deadly and that they will begin to turn against each other.
There is a scene featuring Daniel pointing a gun at somebody, Travis beating someone up and an unseen individual pointing a pistol at Chris's head. From the looks of it, "Fear the Walking Dead" season 2 will be one amazing boat ride.
"Fear the Walking Dead" season 2 returns on AMC with episode 2 "We All Fall Down" on April 17. The synopsis is as follows:
The group seeks shelter with a survivalist family; and Madison tries to uncover the family's true motives. Meanwhile, Salazar works to discover Strand's intentions.
