The nightmarish seafaring adventure officially begins in three months' time. AMC has finally announced that "Fear the Walking Dead" season 2 will premiere on April 10. However, the season will be divided into two parts.

As fans have already heard, the second season of the series has15 episodes. The first seven installments will be aired starting April while the latter half of the season will be aired "later in 2016." Fans would know that this is the same format AMC follows for its parent series "The Walking Dead."

"Fear the Walking Dead" season 2 episodes will be followed by the live talk show "Talking Dead" hosted by Chris Hardwick. Here, the show's creators, producers, cast members and basically anyone involved on the show stop by to talk about the latest episode and all things "Fear."

The new season of the hit "The Walking Dead" spinoff sees Travis and his family (what's left of it, anyway), head to the sea with other desperate folks hoping to escape the epidemic that is gradually eating up the place they once called their home.

In "Fear the Walking Dead" season 2, Travis and the rest of the residents on board the luxury yacht owned by Victor Strand, who volunteered his beloved cruiser to bring the people out of the city and into the waters, where they think is safe.

It is being said that Strand's act of compassion is pure fraud. It remains to be seen whether or not the billionaire businessman is to be trusted. It is also unclear if he knows that at some point, the plan might backfire as people could go brutal and ruthless just to acquire a space for themselves on the yacht, which, at the moment, also equates to a ticket to longer days alive.

Meanwhile, "Fear the Walking Dead" season 2 will also see Travis struggle with the events that happened in the previous season. His relationship with Madison will meet challenges in the wake of a newfound crazy world they are in.

"Fear the Walking Dead" season 2 starts April 10 at 9 p.m. ET on AMC.
