'Fear the Walking Dead' spoilers: More street riots coming in Los Angeles in episode 3 'The Dog'

 AMC

AMC's "Fear the Walking Dead" will take a short hiatus this week, but it does not mean that the dangers lurking in Los Angeles will go away. When show returns with its third episode, the characters will have to take refuge to save their lives.

The official synopsis for the episode titled "The Dog" reads: "After they escape a riot, Travis, Liza and Chris seek refuge with the Salazars; Madison defends her home."

Previously, Madison (Kim Dickens) did everything to make sure that her son Nick (Frank Dillane), Alicia (Alycia Debnam-Carey), and her boyfriend Travis (Cliff Curtis) were safe from the walker lurking outside their home.

On the other hand, Travis went to find his ex-wife Liza (Elizabeth Rodriguez) and their son Chris (Lorenzo James Henrie) after the rebellious son decided to join a mass protest against a police officer who killed a homeless guy. The dysfunctional family had to run away from all the chaos in the streets for their safety, and they chanced upon the home of the Salazar family. They decided to stay there since it would be more difficult for them to head back to Madison's place. But based on the trailer promo for the upcoming episode, Travis' former family will be forced to get out of cover and go back to the riots in the city because of a fire that happen close to the Salazars' place.

Also in the previous episode, viewers found out that Madison's neighbor turned into a walker and attacked the woman living across the street. Because of the impending danger, Madison seemed to contemplate whether she should fight their neighbor to keep her family safe.

Another promo for the episode shows Travis driving a truck full of survivors, including Liza and Chris, past a quarantined hospital. A walker suddenly appears and the police obviously freaks out at the sight. Everyone onboard Travis' truck seem to be clueless about what they should do next with their situation, and fear is clearly evident in their faces.

The next episode of "Fear the Walking Dead" will air on Sunday, Sept. 13.
