Forever Entertainment S.A., one of the publishers of the upcoming game in the "Fear Effect" franchise, "Fear Effect Sedna," announced that the game is scheduled for release on the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 (PS4), Windows PC and Xbox One on March 6. The game will retail at $19.99.
According to the Steam page of the upcoming game, "Fear Effect Sedna" is set four years following what happened in the original "Fear Effect" game. The quartet fans loved will be back — this time, Hana is no longer part of the Triad and is living with Rain in Hong Kong, working as an occasional hired gun, while Deke has been estranged from them after Glas returned to the United States. The team will be reunited following Hana's acceptance of a mission from an organization wherein she will be tasked to retrieve an enigmatic ancient statuette that is under the care of the Chinese ambassador in France. She will soon discover that the mission she was tasked was not as easy as she had first thought. Meanwhile, Glas will be approached by a client with a mission interesting enough for him to go to Greenland.
"Fear Effect Sedna" will also feature the following — new environments in isometric view (players will be able to explore Greenland's deep caves, abandoned scientific complexes, underwater stations and unearthly realms based on Inuit mythology), a real-time tactical action game (players can utilize their heroes' special abilities and combine them to maximize their team's effectiveness in attacks), a deep and mature story (players will be able to learn more about the quartet's past) and new culture (players will learn about the myths of the Inuit people as well as meet and fight creatures from the spirit realms of Inuit mythology).
"Fear Effect Sedna" is developed by Sushee Games and published by Square Enix and Forever Entertainment S.A. Sushee is also developing another game in the "Fear Effect" franchise, "Fear Effect Reinvented," which is set to release sometime this year.
