'Fe' gameplay news: Game lasts 8 hours without publisher EA interfering with game

The game where players have to sing to be able to play is almost here. "Fe" will be out in just a few weeks, and many are wondering about the game. For those who have started disliking publisher Electronic Arts (EA) for their issues last year, they have at least not "meddled" with "Fe," leaving it the way developers Zoink wants it.

The game director, Andreas Beijer, was recently interviewed by Wccftech, and he was able to share some more news about the game. "If you were set on just completing the 'main quest' I would think perhaps [it would last about 7-8 hours]," said Beijier. "Then you are free to roam around and find all the secrets that really depends how much time that takes."

Needless to say, there is a lot to do in the game aside from the main quest as well. "I'm really thinking of the world of Fe as big enough to get lost in but small enough to get to know it all," continued Beijier. To help with the player's familiarity of the places, sections of the whole world of "Fe" will be locked until players get to finish more quests.

The gameplay for "Fe" is a more relaxed kind of casual game that tries to immerse their players. One unique way of doing so is to actually sing to get the trust of the animals that players will be trying to save. Zoink previously assured players that they do not exactly need to sing, but it remains to be seen what they mean by this.

Elsewhere, for players concerned that EA's involvement in the project may have adversely affected it, it seems they do not have much to worry about. It was specifically EA's indie branch called EA Originals that got to cooperate with Zoink, not EA itself. That said, those skeptical with EA can at least trust the EA Originals have been fair especially with partners like Zoink. Beijier also truthfully mentioned that they have not messed with the game's purpose.

"Fe" is set to release on Feb. 16, 2018. It will be playable on all of the latest consoles: Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, specifically Windows.
