Viewers were tensed when they saw the unexpected interaction between the small town's butcher's assistant Ed Blomquist (Jesse Plemons) and State Trooper Lou Solverson in the previous episode of "Fargo" season 2, but things are just starting to intensify from there.

In the previous episode titled "Before the Law," both Ed and Lou were seen at the butcher's shop during an odd time. Both were there for different reasons, but they were somehow connected with each other.

Ed decided to drop by his workplace to dispose of the body of Rye (Kieran Culkin), Otto Gerhardt's (Michael Hogan) youngest son, after he and his wife accidentally killed him during the premiere episode of the season.

To avoid being discovered, Ed decided to use the meat grinder so the evidence of Rye's body could be easily disposed. But while he was in the middle of chucking the dead body in the meat grinder, Lou appeared to buy bacon.

While the state trooper still has no idea of the crime committed by Ed and his wife Peggy (Kirsten Dunst), it seemed like Lou was starting to feel that something was not right. Could he sense that a brutal scene was happening at the back of the shop?

Meanwhile, the synopsis for the upcoming episode titled "The Meat of Sisyphus" revealed that Rye's family will start an extensive search for his whereabouts. But will they discover that the youngest Gerhardt that they are looking is already finely ground?

One of the Gerhardts who will try to find Rye is his brother Bear, portrayed by Australian actor Angus Sampson. According to the actor, he initially applied for a small character's role in the series, but series creator Noah Hawley allegedly had bigger plans for the actor.

"He had seen 'The Mule' and he noted some similarities between my character from that movie and the one he wanted me to do," Sampson said during an interview with Yahoo News Australia. He also said that he was ecstatic when he learned that he earned a role in the critically acclaimed crime drama anthology.

The official synopsis for the episode reads:

"The Gerhardts' search for Rye intensifies, Lou takes a trip to Fargo, and Peggy overhears a new theory about the Waffle Hut shooter."

"Fargo" season 2 episode 3 will air on Monday, Oct. 26, on FX.
