First-person shooting game "Far Cry" is returning with a fifth installment on Feb. 27, 2018.

Set in Hope Country, "Far Cry 5" focuses on the madness that follows after a small doomsday cult rolls into town and destroys the idyllic life that the people of Hope County had grown accustomed to.

An announcement trailer for the game was uploaded to Ubisoft's YouTube channel on May 26, 2017.

"Something is coming. You can feel it, can't you? You can feel that we are creeping towards the edge. I know that you are out there, and I know that you are in pain. But my children, I'm here to tell you that suffering is a choice. And you can choose a better path? We want you. We accept you. And we will take you. Willingly or not. And some of you may fight, but in the end you will thank us." The trailer begins with an eerie monologue from an unseen man. And while it starts out peaceful enough, eventually it is revealed that the doomsday cult is out to cause problems.

Under the guise of helping the citizens of Hope County, they end up taking people against their will. The trailer shows members of the cult dragging people out of their homes and attempting to drown a woman in a river in a twisted version of what appears to be the cult's version of a water baptism.

The trailer kicks into high gear shortly after, people are dragged out of their homes, guns are blazing, and Hope County has erupted into all-out chaos. The fate of Hope Country rests in the players' hands.

Similar to the previous game, it seems as if "Far Cry 5" will be another first-person shooter.

According to Cinema Blend, players will fight to liberate the town from the cult, and that they will be able to recruit AI-controlled non-playable characters to help in the war against the cultists.

"Far Cry 5" is coming to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
