Another game being hyped up right now is Fallout 76, the latest addition to the much loved Fallout franchise by Bethesda.
Bethesda has dropped some major teasers about the game ahead of a big reveal at the E3 2018 convention taking place in Los Angeles in a few days.
After releasing a teaser trailer this week, fans have even more of a reason to look forward to Bethesda's E3 press conference, which takes place at 6:30 pm PT/9:30 pm ET on June 10.
One of the things Bethesda might confirm is the release date as an Amazon preorder page date got Fallout fans a little confused and also excited that the game could be making its way out to players by this summer.
That's because according to Massively Overpowered, the Amazon preorder page originally showed a "get it by" date of July 31, 2018 that then quickly changed to the currently listed launch date of December 31, 2019.
So was it a case of someone at Amazon making a typo when they were getting the listing up on the site? Or is it a sign that the game could be out imminently?
As PCGamer notes, Bethesda has previously launched games soon after their announcements. We saw this last year with Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus and The Evil Within 2 which were announced in June 2017 and then rolled out only a few months later in October of that year. And in addition to that, with an even tighter window, Fallout Shelter was announced and then released on the same day back in 2015.
All that we can be sure about for now is that Bethesda is releasing the game to PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
Gamespot has managed to glean some tidbits about the mysterious game from the teaser trailer, including that it will be partially set in 2102 according to the date that can be seen on a Pip-Boy. This would be earlier than the other titles in the Fallout franchise.
Gamespot even speculated that the exact date on the calendar of October 27, 2102, might be teasing a possible release date for the game.
Fans have been making it clear on comments posted beneath the trailer on YouTube that they want the game to be single player, with many posting the hashtag #saveplayer1
There's a good chance Bethesda will clarify things at E3 2018. Fans who are not able to be there in person can tune in online at live on Twitch, YouTube, Twitter, Facebook or Bethesda.net.
