Will the long and agonizing pain be finally over for the fans of the "Fallout" series?

Six years after "Fallout 3" was released in the market, loyal followers of the post-apocalyptic role-playing game have been clamoring for a fourth follow-up from the series. Until now, there are no confirmations from Bethesda Softworks if there will really be an upcoming release.

Some fans have decided to take the matter in their own hands, and even went out of their way to demand any information from the game developer. Somebody started an online petition urging Bethesda to reveal the details for the highly anticipated "Fallout 4" game, while another tried to bribe somebody from the inside to divulge the release date with three sumptuous cookies.

Still, the gaming company kept them hanging for a bit.

However, Gameranx did mention several teasers that supposedly came from the Bethesda office.  According to the report, the company itself is responsible for the recent influx of spoilers and teasers intended for "Fallout 4."

One of the teasers came from one of the employees of the game developers, who was asked by a fan for a beta download code. Although the employee refused to give in to the request, the fan was just asked to stay tuned for more information that will be released by Bethesda sometime soon.

Then there were the tweets and spoilers offered by voice actor Erik Todd Dellums. He gave the voice for the "Fallout" character named Three Dog. The article implied that Bethesda allowed Dellums to reveal that Three Dog will return to the game once it is released. However, the voice actor also shared that Bethesda is giving him instructions about what he can and cannot discuss in public.

But ultimately, fans are still holding on to their hopes that the company will finally reveal something about "Fallout 4" on Oct. 23, since this is exactly the date of the "Great War."

Bethesda still has to break their silence about the supposed reveal date.
