While many avid fans of "Fairy Tail" expect Acnologia to finally be defeated through the Ravines of Time, spoiler reports claim that it will not be the case as the upcoming chapter 531 of the widely followed manga series is said to feature the Black Dragon surviving Anna Heartfilia's plan.
"Fairy Tail" chapter 530 had Anna Heartfilia explaining the Ravines of Time in detail and how they use it to defeat Acnologia. True enough, "Fairy Tail" chapter 531 opens with Acnologia chasing the Pegasus to the location of the Ravines of Time.
To recall, Anna Heartfilia revealed the mysteries that come with the Ravines of Time in "Fairy Tail" chapter 530. According to Anna Heartfilia, the Ravines of Time is an anomaly created by time and those who come in contact with it will be sucked into it and get trapped there for eternity, although its size is only as big as that of an orange.
According to spoiler reports, everything will work according to plan at first. As the Pegasus pulls off a complex maneuver it needs in order to ensure that it does not get sucked up into the Ravines of Time, Acnologia eventually hits the mysterious magic. While everybody aboard the Pegasus jubilates over what they thought as their victory, their celebration is soon cut short as they see Acnologia right beside the Pegasus.
Trying to rationalize what may have just happened, Anna Heartfilia tells everybody that Acnologia must have seen the Ravines of Time as it has manifested its visible state. However, little do they know that the answer to their question is already revealed in Magnolia, where the fight between Natsu and Zeref is ongoing.
While fighting with Natsu, Zeref reveals that it was he who discovered the Ravines of Time, and all the magic found in it is his. As he is the creator of the anomaly, he has the ability to close it until he can complete the Neo Eclipse spell that he intends to do in order to reset time. This is the reason why the Ravines of Time did not suck Acnologia into it as Zeref had already closed it.
Reports also claim that the current chapter of the manga ends hinting that Natsu will finally transform into END in chapter 532.
"Fairy Tail" chapter 531 is expected to hit the store shelves today, April 18.
