'EVE Online' developers working on an ambitious MMORPG game

Massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) "EVE Online" has been one of the longest-running MMO games. Its developer, CCP Games, is likely more than happy for the success of their game. However, it looks like they are working on another MMORPG game and that it is going "ambitious."

Most future games usually get leaked because of a job listing that a developer company posts. CCP Games is no exception. Based on a posted job listing, they are reportedly looking for a Lead Designer, which definitely is a major position for any kind of game.

"CCP is currently building a team in London to lead development on a new and highly ambitious MMORPG. We are looking to grow a relatively small, tight-knit team, capable of delivering big ideas through experience, smart process, and world-class tools," reads the description of the listing. "The ideal candidate will have a demonstrable track-record of leading design teams on multiple high-profile titles, and ideally experience of RPG gameplay and systems design development."

With the success of "EVE Online," it would be natural for CCP games to try aiming higher. Although many other companies have similarly aimed for "ambitious" titles, fans would not be able to judge their promises until they actually show something that definitely looks promising. Unfortunately, it does not look like they will be announcing anything new soon.

According to PCGamesN, the company said that their next announcement of a new game would within the upcoming year-and-a-half. It may not seem long, but that is just the announcement of a game. A footage of it or some teaser or trailer may come months later.

CCP Games also has two other projects they are working on right now: one shooter game and another mobile game. They originally had a virtual reality (VR) title, but there has been no news about it, and it may have likely dropped it putting their resources on the PC and mobile projects instead.
