The Lyons are back for another round of family drama in "Empire" season 2.

For the second season premiere, fans will learn that Lucious Lyon (Terrence Howard) is still trying to keep the rein on the music company he built from the ground up even if he has left the responsibility to his second son Jamal (Jussie Smollett). Meanwhile, his ex-wife Cookie (Taraji P. Henson) plots to take over Empire Entertainment with their two sons Andre (Trai Byers) and Hakeem (Bryshere Y. Gray) with Lucious' ex-lover Anika (Grace Gealey) despite publicly showing their support for the incarcerated music mogul by staging a concert that demands his abrupt release.

But how will Lucious handle his dysfunctional family and run the music empire that he built while behind bars?

The premiere episode of "Empire" season 2 will air on Wednesday, Sept. 23, at 9 p.m. EST. But those who are not yet home by that time can still catch the show via different streaming options online.

Those who can wait for another day can opt to use the FOX Now services for TV, computer, mobile devices, game consoles, or cable box. However, FOX only provides a one-time temporary pass that lasts for 12 hours to experience the network's streaming services for free. After the 12-hour trial lapses, viewers will be required to have a valid cable subscription in order to continue watching "Empire" and other shows from the network anywhere they want to.

Hulu Plus subscribers will be able to watch the season 2 premiere of "Empire" one day after its broadcast. They can also choose to binge-watch the entire first season of the hip hop musical series prior by subscribing to its membership plan for $7.99 per month.
