'Empire' episode 6 spoilers: Courtney Love's character to revamp career under Cookie's supervision in 'Out, Damned Spot'

As if the past five episodes of "Empire" are not enough to prove that the new musical drama from Fox is worth watching, an additional recurring character will make the show extra interesting.

In the episode titled "Out, Damned Spot," the controversial Hole lead vocals Courtney Love will join the cast as one of Empire's prized artists. People earlier shared that Love will have a recurring role in the hit musical drama created by Lee Daniels and Danny Strong starting on its sixth episode.

According to a representative from Fox, the 50-year-old singer will portray the role of Elle Dallas, "a hard rock powerhouse, who is part of Empire Entertainment's stable of artists." Empire's top honcho Lucious Lyon (Terrence Howard) will allegedly ask his estranged wife Cookie (Taraji P. Henson) to manage Elle's dwindling career, after she failed to produce an album in years.

Also in that episode, Lucious and Cookie's son Jamal (Jussie Smollett) will face a difficult ordeal after his single "Keep Your Money" became an instant success. His rise to fame could mean that more people will be interested in his personal life, including his relationships. Is Jamal ready to come out about his real sexuality and proclaim his relationship with Michael (Rafael de La Fuente) out in the open?

Speaking of relationship drama, Lucious and Cookie's never-ending feud will continue in this episode, after the Empire CEO announced his engagement with his newfound love Anika (Grace Gealey). As expected, Cookie is overly furious, especially since Lucious gave her a rose last episode to mark the anniversary of their marriage.

However, Lucious' problems will not end there. His long-time friend Vernon (Malik Yoba) will start asking questions about the night when Bunkie was murdered. Will everyone finally find out that the Empire big boss murdered someone in the past?

The episode will also feature guest star Raven Symone as the mystery woman who will stir up the family's troubled past.

"Empire" episode 6 will air on Wednesday, Feb. 11.
