Eminem new album release date in 2016? what to expect

It has been more than two years since Eminem dropped his last studio album, but should music fans expect to get another record from him soon?

With news of new albums by Rihanna, Drake, and Kanye West, Eminem's fans are wondering if the rapper will also join the bandwagon.

But while the "Cleanin' Out My Closet" rapper continues to keep his silence regarding his plans for a next album, British DJ Tim Westwood recently dropped a previously unreleased track by Eminem.

The 13-minute track that Eminem recorded back in 1999 features Eminem's late best friend Deshaun "Proof" Holton, who passed away in April 2006. Westwood arranged the recording session where the two rappers showcased their talents in old school freestyle rapping.

Westwood unveiled a trimmed version of the recording in the past, but this is the first time that the entire recording session was made public.

Meanwhile, Slipknot's lead singer Corey Taylor recently revealed that he would like to collaborate with Eminem someday.

"I would love to do something with Eminem. I would love to trade some stuff back and forth with him, because I love the way he writes and the way he flows and the attitude; you know, the emotion that's in it," the alternative metal singer said during an interview with Sweden's RockSverige (via NME).

"And I'm very, very attracted to that. And I would love to do something where we kind of go back and forth. Will it ever happen? Probably not. But, you know, it's still a dream."

In related news, Eminem's estranged sister-in-law Dawn Scott was found dead due to an apparent drug overdose in her trailer park home on Jan. 19. Scott is the twin sister of the rapper's ex-wife Kim. She is also the mother of one of her adoptive daughters Alaina.
