While Eminem remains tight-lipped about the release of his new album for 2016, speculations claim that the rapper's financial troubles could be the reason why he has been holding off the release of his new album this year.

Speculations about Eminem's money problems started when his name was not included on the list of Forbes' Top 100 highest-paid celebrities for 2016. This could mean that the rapper was not able to earn as much as he used to this year, since he was not promoting a new record afer the release of "The Marshall Mathers LP 2" in 2013.

Meanwhile, rapper and music producer Jay Z seemed to have downplayed Eminem's achievements in a recent interview shared by Thy Black Music.

According to the "Picasso Baby" rapper, Eminem could be considered as the most overrated rapper in history.

"I don't really understand the appeal of dude. He dropped a few hot verses back in the day, but he's been mad average for many years now. He is probably the most overrated rapper of all-time, but he did really well targeting his audience. He is a genius in that sense, but in the bigger scheme of things, there are a million rappers who were and are lightyears ahead of him," Jay Z stated.

He also said in a 2014 statement that he could not believe how Eminem managed to outsell other rappers, including himself, 2Pac, Notorious B.I.G., and Kanye despite their talents. Beyonce's husband believes that he has more to offer in his music catalogue compared to the "Lose Yourself" rapper.

However, Eminem continues his silence regarding his opinion on Jay Z's tirade against him, as well as the release of his next album, which fans expected to be released sometime this year.
