Although game publisher Bethesda Studios is gearing up for the upcoming release of "The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited" for Xbox One and PlayStation 4, fans seem to be more interested in finding out when the highly anticipated "The Elder Scrolls 6" will be released.

Several reports claim that the title will be announced in the upcoming Electronic Entertainment Expo, happening from June 16 to 18 at the Los Angeles Convention Center. However, some speculations refute the claim, saying that Bethesda's announcement will not be about the sixth major installment in the "Elder Scrolls" series. Instead, it will be about the release of the equally-awaited "Fallout 4" title.

If the first rumor turns out to be true, then the world could finally see the successor to the 2011 released "The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim." The plot and gameplay details about the alleged title are still undetermined at this time, yet players are expecting to find out more about the game soon.

But if Bethesda chooses not to announce it during that time, fans of the series should just wait for the release of the new "The Elder Scrolls Online" for game consoles, which is scheduled to come out on June 9.

The online game, which was released for Windows and OS X in April last year and was recently renamed "The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited," no longer charges its players with the usual monthly fee. Instead, gamers just need to make a one-time purchase to enjoy the game. It was developed by ZeniMax Online Studios for a total of seven years, but had a dismal performance during its first release due to the bugs that affected the gameplay. The developer tried to fix the game over the years. Still, many gamers are not expecting a lot from the game.

All in all, "The Elder Scrolls" game series managed to sell over 30 million copies all over the world since it first came out in 1994.
