"Dying Light" players can further customize their gaming experiences once the upcoming update aimed for the game's developer tools had been released.

According to the official announcement released by game developer Techland regarding the upcoming updates, players can start making their creative ideas for the "Dying Light" content come to life by coming up with regular updates.

Some of the new features include the terrain creation and editing option, custom models import, as well as multiplayer support.

A statement from Techland was released together with the teaser video, saying:

"Thanks to Dying Light Developer Tools you can take the quarantine zone in your own hands to create new maps, tell original stories, and design over-the-top scenarios. Don't miss that chance to unleash your inner developer!"

To inspire more players to give the developer tool a try, the game developer launched a competition wherein all interested players can upload any openly available map that they designed using the Dying light developer tool on or before May 11. The chosen winner for the said contest with the theme "3 minutes of crazy gameplay" can win an ASUS GTX 980 Strix graphics card, while consolation prizes are composed of various Dying Light merchandise items like backpacks, hooded sweatshirts, mugs, and the like.

The rest of the contest mechanics and submission form can be found on Dying Light's official website.

The "Dying Light" developer tool can be downloaded for free on Steam.

"Dying Light" is one of the most successful releases this year. It is an open world zombie apocalypse title where the players can traverse in the vast urban environment that has been infested by the zombie epidemic.

Players can earn Power points by fighting enemies, while doing parkour movements can let the players earn Agility points. They can also earn Survival points by completing quests, missions, and challenges, and get Skill points when they earn an experience.

Techland is expected to announce the release date of the upcoming updates soon.
