Following his highly publicized fling with Jennifer Lopez, Drake is rumored to have a new woman in his life: Jorja Smith.
Drake, 30, is said to be secretly dating 19-year-old British singer Smith from Walsall. The rising songstress is a collaborator on Drake's "More Life" playlist, which is now a huge success. After lending her voice to the album's "Get It Together" single and her own "Jorja Interlude," Smith has allegedly won over the Toronto rapper's heart as well. The pair was even spotted buying sweets in Smith's local Co-op in February.
In an interview with The Sun, a source said the singers' secret relationship is not much of a surprise because they have been recently spending more time together. "He's been championing her a little too strongly . . . He's brought her out on stage at his UK gigs and Instagramming about her a lot," the insider revealed.
The source also mentioned that Drizzy might be very smitten with the female artist, as the new relationship is "more than just a one-off thing." Although there is no solid evidence to prove that the two are officially dating, Drake has brought Smith out multiple times when he was doing his latest "Boy Meets World" European tour. He has posted several photos of them together on Instagram, but it is worth noting that he also does that with other female singers.
Birmingham Mail notes that Smith's music is described as "introspective soul," similar to the music of Prince and Lauren Hill. She first rose to popularity with her single titled "Blue Lights," which is centered on police injustice. According to Smith, the song is inspired by the things she went through while growing up in Walsall. "I wanted to start from home. Back home in Walsall is where I started writing, and this song is influenced by what I grew up around," she told the publication.
Now that JLo is officially off the market with her new beau, baseball player Alex Rodriguez, this could be the perfect opportunity for Drake to find someone who will truly steal his heart.
Drake and Smith have not spoken about their alleged relationship yet.
