The upcoming episode 131 will finally reveal which universe will be next one to be obliterated as the winner of the tournament gets to save his own. While the fans have been expecting the final episode to focus on Son Goku and Jiren's one-on-one battle, Frieza suddenly emerged and gave Universe 7 another hope for survival.
The latest plot synopsis for "Dragon Ball Super" episode 131 has been released, and it appears that the earlier rumors were right all along that there will be a surprising twist in the Tournament of Power. Previously, the climax of the competition was achieved as Goku finally attained the perfect form of his Ultra Instinct technique, giving him an edge over the Universe 11's most powerful Pride Trooper, Jiren. Even the gods watching the tournament were astonished upon witnessing Goku's impressive power-up, but little do they know that Jiren had one final trick up his sleeve.
In the last minute of the Tournament of Power, Jiren revealed the full extent of his immeasurable power, putting Goku in danger of being eliminated once again. Nevertheless, the fans were treated with a spectacle as Goku and Jiren gave their all to prove that only one of them is the strongest fighters of all the universes. Unfortunately for Goku, he might have downplayed Jiren's power quite a bit as his opponent caused him to lose consciousness. What happened next was the most surprising twist in the tournament so far, as Frieza and Android 17 appeared all of a sudden, announcing that they are still key players in the battle.
