After the shock of seeing Lord Grantham (Hugh Bonneville) spit out blood in the previous episode of "Downton Abbey" season 6, more unexpected twists are coming for both the upstairs and downstairs residents of the sprawling mansion.

In the previous episode, Cora (Elizabeth McGovern) decided to tell Minister of Health Neville Chamberlain (Rupert Frazier) to go on with the hospital merger after she became fed up with the Violet, Dowager Countess of Grantham's (Maggie Smith) constant need to get everything done according to her demands.

But in the upcoming episode, more problems regarding the hospital will surface, and it will affect the rest of the residents of the estate.

Based on the synopsis for the upcoming episode, the Crawleys will open Downton Abbey to the public to raise funds needed for the hospital. But not everyone agrees with the decision, including the servants of the mansion.

One of the biggest conflicts in this episode will involve Cora and Violet, since the two are still bickering about the final decision regarding the hospital turnover. Could they still manage to meet halfway to finally make an agreement regarding the hospital situation?

On the other hand, Mary (Michelle Dockery) and Edith (Laura Carmichael) can finally move forward with their lives and put the past behind them in the upcoming episode. This could be a welcome change for the Crawleys, since their family is going through a middle of a big turmoil because of the hospital merger and their current financial status.

The official synopsis for the sixth episode reads:

"The house is made open to the public to raise money for the hospital, an act that divides opinions among the family and the servants. Tensions between Violet and Cora come to a head as a decision is made about the hospital takeover. Mr Dawes has a proposition for Molesley (Kevin Doyle), and Baxter (Raquel Cassidy) is thrown into turmoil by an unexpected letter. Carson (Jim Carter) is not happy with Thomas (Rob James-Collier), while Mary and Edith hope to overcome their past and find true happiness with the new men in their lives."

"Downton Abbey" season 6 episode 6 airs in the U.K. on Sunday, Oct. 25, on ITV.
